Cathay Dragon Partners with InterContinental Shanghai Pudong to Offer New Inflight Menu

国泰港龙航空携手上海锦江汤臣洲际大酒店推出全新中式餐膳

Cathay Dragon has launched new inflight menu featuring Chinese dished inspired by Oriental house, the Chinese restaurant of InterContinental Shanghai Pudong. The new menu is offered to passengers flying on Cathay Dragon flights from Shanghai to Hong Kong.

 

The new Chinese dishes are created by William Weng, InterContinental Insider Chef, Director of Chinese Operations and Executive Chef of Oriental House, who joined the InterContinental Shanghai Pudong in 2003 offering his guests 14 years of creative and award winning dishes. As a Shanghainese Chef with 33 years of professional experience in culinary and food & beverage management, William has established a solid reputation for his expertise in some regional Chinese dish specializing in Shanghainese and Cantonese dishes.

 

Inspired by William’s rich experiences travelling all over the world, the Chinese dishes include various appetizers, main courses, soup, and dedicated desserts, and will be offered to First, Business, and Economy class passengers. Made with fresh ingredients, the premium dishes provided by Oriental House will certainly evoke the taste of extraordinary Chinese culinary adventures. William’s signature dish is the Golden Melon and Lettuce with Scallion Oil and Marinated Scallop. Australian imported scallops handpicked by William mingle with scallion oil, keeping the scallop firm and tasty. Served as an appetizer with freshly cooked golden melon and crispy lettuce, its bright colour and excellent taste offers extraordinary satisfaction. A main course passengers should sample is the Deep Fried Cod with Mango Sauce. With high value of nutrition, the fried cod fish has its rich flavour sealed in and combines beautifully with the taste of the sour and sweet mango, dragon fruit and kiwi. It will certainly sweep away any tiredness from your journey.

国泰港龙航空此次推出的全新中式餐膳,由洲际行家主厨、上海锦江汤臣洲际大酒店中餐营运总监兼行政总厨翁建和先生精心设计。享誉国内外殊荣的翁师傅自2003 年起已在酒店任职 14 年有余。作为一名地道的上海籍厨师,翁师傅精通上海菜及广东菜,且具有33年的烹饪技巧和餐饮管理经验,擅长在传承传统菜肴精髓的基础上结合当今的餐饮理念加以改良和创新。

 

翁师傅为国泰港龙航班特别呈现的中式美馔,从世界各地的烹饪风味中汲取灵感,配以款式多样的靓汤和传统精致点心,彰显出每道食材新鲜口感和优越品质,给崇尚中式风味的旅客带来前所未有的味蕾享受。其中最为推荐的是「葱油金丝瓜拌青笋丝拼带子」,外观雪白、肉质紧实的高品质澳洲带子,用葱油浇淋的方法最大程度保留其原始鲜味,入口肉质丝感分明,弹性十足,配以清爽可口的莴笋,辅以金瓜切丝后的鲜艳色泽,无论从色彩还是口感,都给旅客们带来不同层次的体验。同样不容错过的还有「香芒银鳕鱼」,营养价值丰富的银鳕鱼过油后酥脆可口、内里嫩滑、肉汁香甜、色泽诱人,与酸甜透凉的芒果、火龙果及奇异果这三种热带水果配合得恰到好处,齿颊品味间迸发无限活力,能为乘客一扫旅途疲惫。
